Introducing our Child and Youth Haven Campaign

 We are thrilled to share that we’ve officially launched our Capital Campaign for the Child and Youth Haven, which was kicked off during our Fundraising Banquet in September 2024!

We are so incredibly blessed by the outpouring of support and generosity from so many individuals, families, and organizations who have already partnered with us to bring this vision to life. Together, we are working to create a safe, nurturing space for children and youth in Taney and Stone County.
 

In the 2023 fiscal year, there were 4,818 children in foster care in SW Missouri. The need is urgent. There is a significant gap in services for children struggling with trauma, homelessness, anxiety, depression, and so many other challenges.  

The Child and Youth Haven will be a place where they can heal, grow, and thrive. Not only will it offer overnight housing for adolescents (12 and up) in need, but it will also serve as a safe, supportive space after school. Here, they can access essential services such as: 

• Safe Housing 
• Counseling 
• Play therapy 
• Mentorship      programs 
• Group support …and so much      more.

 The Brook Wellness Center is excited to announce Phase 1 of our Child and Youth Haven! Our heart's desire is to help the young people in the area overcome trauma and truly heal from the inside out. To accomplish this, we will be transforming our current offices at our Branson West location into our new Child and Youth Haven. The upper level will be for our youth aged clients and the lower level will be for our younger clients. The current offices will be transformed into child and youth themed areas to help them feel the most comfortable. This creates a safe place for our young people to heal that is separate from other adult clients.
Our current offices will be moving to our newly acquired office space located in the lower level of the Claybough Plaza. These offices will be used for our adult clients only.

 Our ultimate goal is to expand the Child and Youth Haven to enable a safe place for the young people in our area to not only heal and grow, but to shelter when needed. To accomplish this, The Brook Wellness Center will build or acquire a property that is conducive to this purpose. 

As The Brook grows, so will our need to expand our facilities and services.
